- When I grow up I want to be a florist. We will teach the basic skills you need to process and care for flowers, the styles of designs and you will get to make floral designs each day.
- Ages 12 and up, adults also welcome!
- Class schedule (subject to change):
Day 1: Students will start the day learning the different techniques to process fresh flowers and properly care for cut flowers. They will then practice the art of bow making.
Day 2: This day will be focused on floral design basics. Students will learn how to make beautiful, fresh floral arrangements, hand tied for water, using a grid, or working in oasis.
Day 3: Students will create a gorgeous flower crown filled with fresh blooms flowers for a lush, full look. They will also learn how to make a dapper boutonniere to match the crown.
Day 4: We will create lush a garland from a variety of greenery. Students will then learn how to deconstruct blooms to make them into another unique flower.
Day 5: To conclude this week long class, students will help design and create three elaborate different backdrops using a mixture of fresh and silk flowers. We will end with an opportunity to take photos in front of the beautiful backdrops!
Each class comes with: Tote bag, hand sanitizer, floral mask, gloves, bottle of water, glue and scissors all flowers, fresh, dried and silk all containers and supplies
Even though we provide a bottle of water, we do suggest packing snacks! We will not provide food / meals.
